Kindergarten Stand-Alone Program

This program was designed for preschools that serve children up to the end of Kindergarten, or for elementary schools that wish to only implement CharacterQ™ at the Kindergarten level. Teachers are provided with a different curriculum kit for each year of Kindergarten, so children learn different EQ skills and positive character traits in Junior and Senior Kindergarten. The Junior and Senior Kindergarten programs are referred to as “Year 1” and “Year 2”.

EQ & Character Education Program: Buzzy & Her Farm Friends

In the first year of the Kindergarten Program, Buzzy introduces children to the following Positive Behaviour Pals who all live on a farm:

Teaches children how to treat things and people with care

Courteous Cat

Teaches children how to be a good listener

Polite Pig

Teaches children how to speak politely to others

Sensitive Sheep

Teaches children how to recognize and understand feelings

Caring Chick

Teaches children how to manage unpleasant feelings and show empathy to others

Calm Cow

Teaches children how to handle and express strong feelings positively

Helpful Hen

Teaches children how to help and cooperate with others

Honest Horse

Teaches children how to be honest with their words and actions

Teaches children how to follow rules and instructions
